How it works
1. Free checks first
Honeypot, a signed time-to-submit token, a replay cache, a per-IP rate limit, allow and block lists, disposable e-mail domains and heuristics.
2. One AI decision
If it passes, one call to TypeSafe's Jev decision model returns a calibrated spam probability and a category.
3. Three outcomes
Confident spam is filed as spam (restorable). The uncertain middle arrives tagged "[Possible spam 62%]". Everything else arrives as normal.
4. It explains itself
Every entry shows the probability, the category, the model and a request ID.
5. It learns from you
"Not spam" corrections teach it trusted senders.
One probability, three outcomes
Default thresholds on the Medium preset: review from 50%, block from 85%. Low and High presets exist, and each form can override them.

Do I need anything else?
A Jev API key from TypeSafe direct, Vercel AI Gateway, OpenRouter or your own proxy. Formsieve for Gravity Forms needs WordPress 6.5+ and Gravity Forms 2.7+; Formsieve for CF7 needs WordPress 6.6+ and Contact Form 7 6.0+ (Flamingo recommended). Both need PHP 7.4+.

What if the AI service is down?
Formsieve fails open. An outage or a billing problem never blocks a real submission.
Can a real lead end up in spam?
Only when the probability reaches the block threshold (85% on the Medium preset), and it can be restored. Uncertain messages are delivered with a "[Possible spam 62%]" subject tag instead. Marking an entry "Not spam" teaches Formsieve that the sender is trusted.
Does it replace reCAPTCHA or Akismet?
